3. An updated Android keyboard that uses Google Scribd data to provide useful suggestions.

4. Google Earth as a WebGL web app and vector-based maps in Google Maps for desktop.

5. A database of things, where you can store important names, book titles, products, concepts and useful information about them.

6. Data sync for Google Chrome extensions.

7. Chrome for Android, with data sync, web apps, session restore, Cloud Print, built-in Flash and smarter address bar.

8. Google's search engine will answer complex questions using inferences.

9. Google Personal Alerts will notify on your mobile phone if there's something interesting around (one of your friends, a store that offers a discount for one your favorite products, a museum you wanted to visit, a shop recommended by one of your friends).

10. Google will learn to embrace Facebook and will start using Facebook Connect.

11. Google Online Store: the place where you can download Chrome/Android apps and games, e-books, buy magazine subscriptions, music and movies.

12. Android's growth will slow down, but it will be the most popular mobile operating system because many companies will use it to create smart media players, digital cameras, TVs, game consoles and even home appliances.

13. Picasa Web Albums will become a Google Docs app and Picnik will switch to HTML5.

At the Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin, a team named 'fail0verflow' revealed that they had calculated the Private Keys, which would let them or anyone else, generate signed software for the PS3. Additionally, they also claim to have a method of jailbreaking the PS3 without the use of a Dongle, which is the current method. If all these statements are true, this opens the door to custom firmware, and homebrew software. Assuming that Sony doesn't take radical action and invalidate their private keys, this could mean that Jailbreaking is viable on all PS3, regardless of their firmware! From the article: 'Approximately a half hour in, the team revealed their new PS3 secrets, the moment we all were waiting for. One of the major highlights here was, dongle-less jailbreaking by overflowing the bootup NOR flash, giving complete control over the system. The other major feat, was calculating the public private keys (due to botched security), giving users the ability to sign their own SELFs Following this, the team declared Sony's security to be EPIC FAIL!''

I drew this comic at the dawn of 2010. Here's how the somewhat autobiographical resolutions in the first panel turned out: I've failed miserably at getting organized. I still floss every night, as any non-hypocritical dental student should. I've written poetry, but it's been mostly goofy light verse. I've enjoyed ethnic food, smiled, practiced yoga, worked out, and volunteered, but only sporadically. I've enjoyed literary fiction (as pretentious as that sounds), especially the novels of Haruki Murakami. I can't bike to work - I'm not employed. And finally, I never actually quote bad movies - I only quote great movies that other people think are bad. My resolution for 2011: to keep going back and coloring old comics so I can repost them on my blog and make them available as posters.

Android Honeycomb Music Player: Full Guide [Early Leak]: "

SO, there’s an Unofficial / Leaked version of the new Honeycomb music player from Android floating around out there, right? Well, we had quite a time getting this little APK to work once we got it, and we bet we weren’t the only ones. Therefor, we’ve whipped up for you this little guide and points post so that you might get the sweet updated music action working on your Android device with as little or no hassle as possible. Check it out – and REMEMBER before doing anything, backup your system. Always always always.

First, and foremost, you’ll most likely need a rooted explorer to be able to do step one. Step one is to locate and either delete or otherwise remove your existing Music Player app. This will more than likely be called GoogleMusic.apk and will be located under system/app.

Reboot.

Next, click [right here] to download the Android Honeycomb Music Player .APK file, and using your explorer app to place the file in the same place you deleted the original GoogleMusic.apk. There’s another file in that download by the name of JumperTest, which will not open for you. More about that file down below.

Two steps, that’s it! But wait, what if it doesn’t work? Try stopping what you’re doing, clearing your cache, and trying again.

Now as far as the source for this APK goes, the furthest back we can track it is, of course, XDA, to a user by the name of johnnie93, who posted the following video and gave a big happy face emoticon saying “I will not disclose my sources.”

As far as we can tell, using all of our intuition powers, is that this is the key to streaming all of your music – from your desktop and from the cloud, back down to your handset. Sounds like a big deal? That’s because it totally is. This right here could be the key to spurring up competition for the iPod. Holy crap can you even believe it?

When you’re in the JumperTest app, take a peek under your Controls tab – you’ll see Start Peer, Stop Peer, and Import Local Media. Neato! Then when you’re back in the Music Player app, check under Music settings – there are straight up options for streaming. It even appears that you’ll be able to cache streamed music for later use – fabulous!

Then there’s a search function you can use on any song – all you’ve got to do is a longpress and it pops up with multiple options – the coolest of which right now is the ability to move right to YouTube. You like the song and want to see if there’s a music video to go with? Easy!

From there it’s basically a dream ride into the future. A simple widget for your home screen here, some sweet slides back and forth there, all kinds of great little features.
